Digitizing, in general, means converting artwork into a set of instructions an embroidery machine can follow, stitch by stitch. Cap digitizing is that same process, but built specifically for a cap frame: the attachment that holds a hat in a curved position and rotates it under the needle as it stitches, instead of holding fabric flat the way a normal embroidery hoop does.
